Wout van Aert (Jumbo-Visma) rode solo for 5 laps and reigned supreme at World Cup Zonhoven Sunday. Matheiu van der Poel (Alpecin-Deceuninck) rode away from the highest World Cup leaders to accept second, 1:23 behind Van Aert.  

The battle for the ultimate podium spot was a heated contest for World Cup factors, sequence chief Laurens Sweeck (Crelans-Fristads) holding a 13-point benefit over Michael Vanthourenhout (Pauwels Sauzen-Bingoal), with two races remaining. Throughout the again half of the ultimate lap, Sweeck launched a vicious assault and distanced Vanthourenhout to safe the ultimate spot on the rostrum, 1:31 off the profitable time, and sufficient factors to retain his sequence lead.
